GIACOMO DALMASSO (Limone 20.10.1892 – Milano 5.4.1963)
Nacque il 20 ottobre 1892. Laureatosi, iniziò e continuò ad esercitare a Milano la sua professione di avvocato. Settimanalmente, nel suo studio, dava udienza gratuita ai meno abbienti che a lui ricorrevano per consigli e chiarimenti. Capitano di fanteria, fu combattente nella grande guerra 1915-18, in cui rimase ferito al petto. Decorato di una medaglia d’argento al valor militare, ottenne il grado di Tenente Colonnello di complemento. Tesserato al Fascio di Milano dal 1921, fu seniore della milizia dalla fondazione, fondatore del fascio avvocati e procuratori di Milano nel 1923, segretario del primo sindacato fascista avvocati e procuratori in Milano negli anni 1924-25, fiduciario del gruppo “Francesco Baracca” di Milano, comandante civico dell’Unione Nazionale protezione antiaerea di Milano. Morì a Milano il 5 aprile 1963. Amante appassionato del paese nativo, vi dedicò varie poesie dialettali. Nel breve periodo di riposo estivo a Limone, fu iniziatore ed organizzatore di attività sportiva. Fra queste, in modo particolare si ricordano le corse podistiche, quali il giro dello zero per ragazzi, il giro dell’otto e la spettacolare corsa alpestre al Monte Murin, per i giovani.

He was born on October 20, 1892. After obtaining his degree, he began and continued to practice his profession as a lawyer in Milan. Every week, in his office, he held free consultations for the less fortunate who turned to him for advice and clarification. An infantry captain, he fought in the Great War of 1915-18, during which he was wounded in the chest. Decorated with a Silver Medal for Military Valor, he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the reserves. A registered member of the Milan Fascio since 1921, he was a Senior of the Militia from its founding, founder of the Milan Fascio of Lawyers and Solicitors in 1923, secretary of the first Fascist Syndicate of Lawyers and Solicitors in Milan in the years 1924-25, trustee of the "Francesco Baracca" group in Milan, and civic commander of the National Air Raid Protection Union of Milan. He died in Milan on April 5, 1963. A passionate lover of his native village, he dedicated various poems in dialect to it. During his short summer breaks in Limone, he initiated and organized sporting activities. Among these, the foot races are particularly remembered, such as the "Zero Loop" for children, the "Figure Eight Loop," and the spectacular alpine race to Monte Murin for the youth. Chaque semaine, dans son cabinet, il donnait des consultations gratuites aux plus démunis qui s'adressaient à lui pour obtenir des conseils et des éclaircissements. Capitaine d'infanterie, il a combattu lors de la Grande Guerre de 1915-18, au cours de laquelle il a été blessé à la poitrine. Décoré d'une médaille d'argent de la valeur militaire, il a obtenu le grade de lieutenant-colonel de réserve. Membre du Faisceau de Milan depuis 1921, il fut seniore de la milice dès sa fondation, fondateur du Faisceau des avocats et procureurs de Milan en 1923, secrétaire du premier syndicat fasciste des avocats et procureurs à Milan dans les années 1924-25, fiduciaire du groupe « Francesco Baracca » de Milan, et commandant civique de l'Union nationale de protection antiaérienne de Milan. Il est mort à Milan le 5 avril 1963. Amoureux passionné de son village natal, il lui a consacré plusieurs poèmes en dialecte. Durant sa courte période de repos estival à Limone, il fut l'initiateur et l'organisateur d'activités sportives. Parmi celles-ci, on se souvient tout particulièrement des courses à pied, telles que le « tour du zéro » pour les enfants, le « tour du huit » et la spectaculaire course alpestre au Mont Murin pour les jeunes.
